Primary Campaign

crowd and flagsThe primary campaign is very important because the primary decides who will be the nominees of the Democratic and Republican Parties. This matters because in recent years only the nominees of these parties have had a realistic chance at being president. In recent years, Ross Perot came the closest of third party candidates, and he did not win a single Electoral College vote (and the 2000 campaign taught us that the Electoral College is what really matters). So, the primary campaign decides who has a realistic chance at winning the presidency.
